Twin Arrows Health
Twin Arrows Health is owned and operated by Henry Madsen, a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Biological Engineer. The name refers to a Buddhist parable about the difference between pain and suffering. As someone who has been experiencing musculoskeletal pain since being a teenager, Henry finds insight and inspiration in this story. The simple version is this: in ancient times, a soldier is struck by an arrow in battle. He obviously experiences significant pain from this injury. He also experiences significant suffering, worrying that he will never be able to provide to his family, he will age faster than he wants, his life will never look the same, and what a fool he was for getting injured. The moral of the story- we cannot choose if we have pain… but we can work with our suffering around that pain to live a better life.
Henry Madsen
DPT, MS
Henry is from Denver. He did his undergrad in ecology at Colorado College, a Master’s in BioEngineering at CU Anschutz, and got his DPT from the University of New Mexico. He moved back to Denver to practice physical therapy and be near his family.
Henry casually rock climbs, bikes, skis, fishes, and does various other Colorado sports. He doesn’t have any pets himself but enjoys hanging out with the dogs and cats of his friends and family. He is an avid reader.
Henry treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, and most enjoys treating shoulder and hip issues. He leverages his background in engineering to bring select technologies in to the clinic- these are chosen for being cost effective and helpful.
